I am having trouble deciding which AG table I like best so I just came up with a new thought. How about a table that seats four dolls?
The top of the table would need to hold four place settings. There would also need to be enough room under the table for four sets of doll legs. Has anyone done this with an AG table? Do you know which tables have the room to make this work?
I would also love to hear which table is your favorite and why.
I have Molly's wooden table and I really like it, but I hate the way the dolls want to slip out of the chairs.
Are any of the AG chairs slip free?

My daughter got Felicity's table for Christmas. Even though I've heard other people complain about slipping, we have not had a problem. I also think there is plenty of room for two other chairs and place settings.

Samantha's chairs are the only one with slip free! I guess it is cause of the cushions. And I just saw someone's album that had 4 Sam chairs around the table! so I guess that works!
I got Kit's table and chairs and soon will have the table and chair for Sam. Kit's set is GREAT! but the dolls do slip. Traveling Felicity did a few "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" as I tried over and over again to sit her in the chair!

We have Sam's table and chairs, but no place settings! DD has the wicker basket type teaset that she uses, and it seems like there would be room for four. I'd love to figure a way to make a modular banquet table, so all the girls could have a party!!

I have been looking for a large doll table for years. I found a very nice one on this website: http://www.sew-dolling.com/colonial_times.htm
Unfortunately it is not for sale.
Still I am hoping to use the picture to inspire my husband and son to build me something similar.

I have plans to get Molly's new table this summer, but am also worried about the slipping issue...well, I ordered Molly's older table cloth and napkins from the replacement parts...the napkins are red with yellow flowers, they don't have the stripes on them like the table cloth or the napkins in the new tea set, so I am going to *try* to make chair cushions/covers out of the replacement napkins with pretty red ribbon ties. I have heard that everyone like Sam's table for the non-slip thing and contributes that to the cushions...so we will se if I can pull this off...

I have Felicity's table, with four chairs around it (actually, three chairs and her writing chair) and four place settings. It works fine with four dolls, and I have had no slippage problems.

I have Kirsten's table, Molly's old wooden dropleaf table, Sam's wicker table and Felicity's table. I've bought an extra chair for each set and can fit 3 dolls fairly easily around each type. I also had Molly's new table for a while but didn't like it so I sold it, including the extra chair. If you include either a teapot or a floral table arrangement, it's a pretty tight fit with three full place settings on any of these tables. I usually put the teapot, cake or whatever kind of food is being served on the 4th "side".
From observation, I would say that how many doll legs you can squeeze underneath a table depends on the state of their joints. If she's a new doll with tight joints, she'll need more room than one who doesn't mind having her legs pushed straight out ahead of her.
One solution I've used for slippage and legroom problems is to have each doll keep her left leg on the floor and fit only the right leg (and corresponding sit-upon area) on the chair.
